Depuis 40 ans, je travaille comme potière à Val David, au Québec.
Le studio est un endroit occupé avec des travaux en cours, des étudiants, des visiteurs et un gros chien noir. En arrière-plan, nous écoutons souvent mon partenaire, Alan Gerber, jouer du piano et chanter, se préparer à un concert. Nos vies tournent autour des studios, de la famille, de la communauté et de la nature. Entourée de forêts, à côté d’un lac au pied des montagnes adoucies par le temps, la nature joue un grand rôle dans mon monde visuel. Les feuilles sous l’eau courante, la glace, l’écorce des arbres, mon jardin de fleurs et de légumes, voilà ce qui influence mon travail.

For the past 40 years, I have been working as a studio potter in Val David, QC. The studio is a busy place with works in progress, students, visitors and a big , black shaggy dog. In the background we are often listening to my partner, Alan Gerber playing the piano and singing, preparing for a concert. Our lives revolve around studios, family, community and nature. Surrounded by forests, beside a lake at the foot of mountains softened by time, nature plays a big part in my visual world. Leaves under running water, ice, the bark of trees, my garden of flowers, and vegetables , this is what influences my work.
